    Dan Bilodeau has worked as a designer on numerous productions throughout New England. Credits include, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, The Lonesome West, Crime and Punishment, and Radio Free Emerson, at the Sandra Feinstein Gamm Theatre, The Storm at the ART Institute, and Proof, Private Lives, and Almost, Maineat the Public Theatre in Lewiston. Recent work includes Arsenic and Old Lace, and A Winter’s Tale at the Theater at Monmouth, On Golden Pond at Penobscot Theatre, and Doubt at the Portland Stage Company. He has also designed dozens of corporate theatre shows across the United States. Dan received an MFA in Design from Brandeis University. He joined the faculty of UMaine in 2008 and teaches scenic and lighting design.
  • Ron Dallas
    Ron Dallas
    Ron combines his small theatrical design and construction company work with set design; with lighting installation and rigging, and with costuming for the Concord Players and other local theatre groups. He was technical director and rigger for the Savayard Light Opera Company in Carlisle for their production of HMS Pinafore. While he was studying engineering at Tufts, Ron became a charter member of a new theater group in the early 80's Designing and building three shows per year in a 1400-seat theatre was quite an awakening. Since that time, he has designed set or lighting for many theatre groups. His recent work includes being Technical Director/Designer for two productions of Mikado last year and lighting designer for a third, Technical Director for Sudbury Savoyards' Ruddygore, and Master Electrician for the Concord Players' Hard Times. In his free time from the theatre, Ron works for Teradyne in Boston as a CAM Specialist.

    Joseph P. Donovan is the Technical Director and Production Manager for the Division of Theatre and Dance at The University of Maine. He teaches Stagecraft and other courses in Technical Theatre such as Drafting, Stage Management and Technical Direction. Joe is also the Technical Advisor for Husson University Theatre and an adjunct instructor for The New England School of Communications. Previously Joe worked as the Production Manager at The Penobscot Theatre in Bangor and prior to that was the Technical Director at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey for three seasons. Other credits include work with The Barnstormer’s Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, The Barn Theatre and Humboldt State University where he received his MFA in Technical Production. In his spare time, Joe is also a volunteer firefighter.

    Matt Kizer lives with his wife and son in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He is the resident scenic and lighting designer for Plymouth State University, where he has been the head of the design and technology program since 1996. He is a regular designer for Papermill Theatre, a regional company in Lincoln, NH. He has designed for the Educational Theatre Collaborative, which produces both traditional and original musicals. He has designed for Kearsarge Arts Theatre (KAT) Company in New London, a childrens' theatre company, also specializing in new works. One of his productions there, A You and Me World, was awarded the Moss Hart Award for Children's Theatre. Another, Mail to the Chief, was invited for performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He served as faculty lighting designer for Operafestival Di Roma in Italy, where he designed lighting for L'elisir di amore and The Magic Flute, both produced with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell' International Chamber Ensemble at Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza in central Rome. He has designed with Alvan Elved Dance at T-Werk in Potsdam, Germany. He has designed for Barnstormers Theatre, White River Theatre Festival in Vermont, and for dance companies, theatres, and colleges in New England, Virginia, Ohio and Indiana. He holds a BA in Theatre from Purdue University and an MFA in Design from The Ohio State University.
